do a bubble car and make a 3x3. luxo barge be a nice comfortable place to be and lwb might mean you don't have to chop the chassis which will save sva bother, big merc or 5 or 7 series bimmer, both are dirt cheap. ooh XJ6 or similar, you can buy rusty rollers at reasonable money snf you don't need it to be structurally sound, monster 4x4 silver shadow be coooooooool

How about an Ital or Hunter, just to confuse people who are not 'in the know' However i would love you to tell someone you drive an Allegro, get the usual response of 'I remember them, they were rubbish', only for you to come back and run over their eurobox ;D Some inspiration here www.offroaders.com/readers/odd-4x4s.htm

What about a Nova Saloon. Pretty sure no one would have bothered with one before!

I'd go the opposite way, and do a S1/2 Landrover on an Impreza floorpan, mega low, big wheels, low profile tyres etc etc.

There was a Rover p5b coupe/rangey hybrid half finished up on the bay a while ago. Looked a killer. Maybe if the ride hieght was a bit higher?
