seen a few older cars n trucks on ebay and the like
"flat glass cracked, but cheap to replace as its flat "
is this the case ? is it easy to get toughened glass cut to shape ? reasonbly priced or no?

yes quite cheap and easy, treat as laminated ,can be made from templates or old glass ,see ,windscreens thread from last week on here ,theres number of 'ab' windscreens ,he'll get anything 'flat' made

yes ,it started badly ,petered off in the middle and the least said about the end the better!!!

I had side glaass cut down my local Glass suppliers, I made a Hardboard template to the same thickness as the glass would be so I could make sure it fitted as I had no original, gave it to the glaziers, who cut it to size, ground the edges, sent it away to have it tempered, and came back 10 days later complete with BS kite engraved on it.

Commonly used in plant like excavators, dozers and cranes. Laminated can cut and installed on site right away. Don't know about cost.

my friend is an AB windscreen fitter from colchester (Andy- 01206 397087). he does chopped ones and allsorts, he done my windows for my prefect from flat sheet. the sheet he gets has a kite mark in each corner so you can get four windscreens out of one bit. however you only need a kite mark for the front; sides and rears don't need a marking. I think its was £45 a hit for my glass.
