I can't believe I missed this thread, mainly cos the topic is close to my heart. And you wrote on my thread to. I knew this car, I can't believe how clean it is ! I'm jealous the only thing that makes me feel better is I only paid about £150 for my Corona (but I am halfway through a recommission job) That guy you brought it from was one of the guys in the Toyota owners club that got spicy with me for sticking the juice on my one. Anyway what a sweet car, give me a bit longer and we will have to go on a Corona Cruise together. Nice car ! I want one ! Sweet I got one !

That guy you brought it from was one of the guys in the Toyota owners club that got spicy with me for sticking the juice on my one. Really? Bob? I know he likes an original, but he seems to like what i've done with mine/his old one....and he seems to like my Nissan powered Celica too.....Still,it's not his car is it ;D Anyway what a sweet car, give me a bit longer and we will have to go on a Corona Cruise together. Absolutely...i'd love to see yours in the flesh (Corona that is....i'm not gay or owt) Have you decided on a power plant for it? Thanks for the comments

Yep I've got a 18rg stashed away, ready to drop in. How about you ? The original engine is so good,i was going to keep it....then i had my eye on an rg on ebay, but it was going for too much. Now i'm thinking 1uz-fe. Although the rg would be the sensible/easiest option and would look pretty original too. It's already got a p50 box in it too.

No way that's some serious rims and arches, kinda like it, maybe better if the arches were moulded in and painted. I won't be doing this to mine though. I'd like to get rid of the small arches on the back of mine, but it would mean moving the rear rams inboard and changing the fuel tank and adjusting the rear seat. It kinda makes more scene leaving them and finishing off the car as it is. The hydraulic rams are tucked behind them rear rims, meaning the wheel had to step out past the body line.

I just can't get on with those comedy blue peter style arches.Interesting though!...There was one quite like this on goonet.com too *rushes off to check if it's still there*

Would have looked way better if the arches continued into the spoiler...

Well, it's been a while! I promised myself i'd leave this alone apart from maintainance, but I spotted this 18rg (twink version of what's in there now) going for little money on ebay It was supposed to be a low milage unit that was imported from japan in the 80's to go in a hilux, but never made it in,so just sat gathering dust. Unfortunately the twin 40 solex's had been robbed of spares,so rather than going for the obvious and expensive dcoe replacement option,i picked these up for 30 notes A set of gixxer carbs....i thought i'd try this bike carb thing out.So to help me set them up (i like doing things myself) I bought one of these Also made this to mount them to the dcoe style manifold So after a quick open up to see if the engine was ok,i got some new gaskets from Toyota, stuck it back together, and gave it a lick of paint, new leads, sparks and dizzy cap etc
