Looks good, but...
Is it me, or is the rear wheel way forward in the arch? Are thay all like that when slammed? I've never noticed before...

true actually.
Probably to do with the fact its on diddy but wide 13's and that slight angle on the shot makes it look further forward than it is?

The drop is restricted by drive shaft clearance however the wishbones are 4mm off the floor, the sump slightly more .. but can still get a jack under it

pretty much everything is as i bought it I have replaced the chrome bumpers, and re-newed A LOT of the electrics and done a few little bits like moving the fog light into the rear clusters etc.
needs to weld the sills up before the MOT
then unfortunately I'm going to have to sell her on
as i have 2 'hobby' cars and no 'main' car so shes currently doing the daily grind which is never right

In my eyes all you need is a good original interior, period colors, a drop and a set of 4 spokes or understated wheels to set an old car off. I have a Nova saloon which is an MOT failure, very straight but lots of natural rust and paint peel needs a redtop and the underneath bringing up to standard i don't care about the tatty body that can stay You can drive a beat up body around on a good chassis but you cant do it the other way around Also have a VW Lupo .. which WAS my daily but decided to fail its MOT and then on the way home self destruct the gearbox ..gutted so thats in the garage in bits. 2 MOT failures with their guts spilt out all over the garage and the MK1 has been carrying me to and from work but 4 speed box at motorway speeds daily and leaving her out on the drive is no way to treat an old lady, so i have to let her go. whos bronze polo ? The Lofoten green is that the one thats .. standard ..honest and its gone all the way back to the fatherland. I bet he misses it, Ugh i don't want mine to go, but I'll end up killing it using it daily I have to do the right thing for the car
