Yes, it's legal Yes, it's purely for aesthetics No, I can't really see very much.. I did my herald with Lamin-X film at the weekend and have nothing but praise for the product. another of the car for fun.. I must have a thing for yellow lights, I did my old polo with paint a couple years ago, it didn't come out very well... Anyone care to add some pictures? ;D

Why don't people make clip on yellow covers? Would be a piece of pee to mould some thin perspex sheet in the right shape.

Yeah but they'd be so easy to make. All you'd need is a spare pair of headlights to use as a mould and you'd be away.

There was a guy on autoshite selling the glass clip on covers for H4 bulbs - I got one to replace a broken one There are much more ftw than painting the outside because they look like this when lit But just have a yellow tint from straight on while unlit 3/4 view lights look 'white' Straight on you can just tell there's yellow bulbs

looks good mate, where do u get the paint for the lenses? it's a self adhesive film type thing. Quite thick, plyable and rubbery. Fairly expensive for what it is, but for the quality of the finish I can't complain at all. I used most of a 12x16 piece to do mine, you could probably do it with a smaller bit if you worked it all out but I can be a bit 'bish-bash-bosh' with it all sometimes... www.lamin-x.co.ukI was thinking about the bulbs with yellow covers (I almost bought them from a nice chap on here), but since it's all about how they look and not the light it produces, I ended up plumping for the film.

I've wanted to do this for years, but have always worried about the know-nothing copper who wants to get my car compounded for saying it's legal!! I always used to think they had been smeared with chip shop curry.
