Thought I would give you all a laugh at my retro related injury.
Myself and 2 mates have gone to the dubfeeze VW show in Stafford for the past few years and as it was my turn to drive I persuaded them to squeeze onto the double seat in the cab of my recovery truck so that I could take a newly arrived van for some advertising.
So we se off from Glasgow at 3am and got to the showground by just after 8am.
Spent a nice day at dubfreeze and on the way out I had to collect a set of wheels and a tow bar for a fellow West of Scotland VW club member.
The seller, CJ from syncro parts drove them down to the traders gate and I started to load them into the van.
All the wheels in and I took a step back to close the sliding door but there was one problem......... The sliding door was 2 foot in the air as the van was on my tow truck (see below)
Dented pride and a VERY sore and swolen hand meant I drove home only able to use my left hand.
6 hours in the van then 3 hours in casualty and I am sat here with my right wrist in plaster.
I have broken my scaiphoid bone in my right wrist so I'm now out of action for the time being .
Oh-well, sh*t happens I guess.
Need to call my insurance and see if I can legally still drive with a cast on as I am going mental and its only been 2 days.
