Hey guys. after the sucess of the morris and how much I cant stop making things, I have bought another scimitar and I have decided to build it into a daily hard as fooook drift type weapon. so here we go. free from a field but nice alloys 225 50 15 So I started by smoothing off the rear lights, repairing the damage and taking the front inner lights out for air intakes planning these lights to go in and here they are Found a nice suitable radiator in a scrappys with built in expansion tank. off a bmw I think and a spare intercooler I have just placed in. looking for a bigger one at the mo! air filter in too why an intercooler I hear you ask? well, to allow me to turn the boost up and generally mess with this... 2.3 turbo, non cat, nice and strong! nice wheel spacers for rear as it stands now, the car has just been painted in satin black and is awaiting me to lay down the laquer flames with ghosted in red. looks like this with the steering wheel being my airbursh practice looking like this.. body bolts have been removed and once the flames are done, the body is off and the mechanicals start. going to convert an old landy tank to fit. moving all the filler etc and sender. will keep you informed, feedback appreciated. regards tim

;D I love it! Them wheel's look the buisness! Middlebridge wheels I think. I was thinking about black for mine, but possibly matt, with white 5 spoke revolutions. Does that sound cool to you? Or not? What's it like underneath? With mine being so badly rusted I'm curious to how the rest cope underneath What kind of power is it going to have? Man I'm excited!

well all i have to say is Wilkinsons Satin Black is GODLY
£3 ish a tin, i used 6 doing 3 goood coats. and i work at halfords and the satin from there is poor.
400ml wilco will do half a car easy!!!
middlebridge alloys i think too. i love them
I'm aiming for a comfy 250hp then when i have time and funds uping it a bit... (read as much as poss)
but it will have a basic interior. two buckets, refined version of original dash, acoustic carpet EVERYWHERE, a head unit and some sick by nines!

PS, its pretty good unerneath, the rear fuel tank support efforts are poorly but will be replaced anyhu to take the custom landrover series 3 fuel injection tank that i have stolen and modified.
looks like the landy will run off a jerry can till approx 2 hours before MOT

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Easy peasy. A mate of mine used some satin black from B&Q to roller an Astra some time back ;D Get the body off quick! I want to see it naked!

Very cool car! Absolutely love the DIY work and the adaptation of cheap/available parts. Should be a drift weapon when finished. Good luck with it!

Bloody great idea! Love seeing field cars brought back from the dead, should be a right laugh as well with the volvo turbo, they can make serious power and still be reliable ;D Looking forward to the flame - how about you do a nice write up on how you do em for those of us considering them (again, well its been a few years since I had a car with flames )

sure thing.
did them on the front of the morris too but not as nice as i aim for the scim.
the plan is using the thinnest pinstripe that work sells, and get a good length off before trying to lay them.
as in have one hand putting down and one hand as if playing snooker, floating somewhere near your bum. this gives the tape the ability to flow and lay down nice.
then mask up the betweeenie bits and spray.
details when i do it! probs be tomorrow or fri
