Golf mk2 2.0 16v, nitrous, low, carbon, swaps etc
Up for sale/swaps/PX(with money my way i don't have any to put in). Not gonna have a decent cash flow for a couple of weeks or so now so need to either shift this or take it off the road and i don't really wanna go down that er... road so its up for sale swaps etc. Would REALLY like another beetle so most interested in them but at the moment considering anything(apart from things like 1.1 saxos etc)
Righty anyway here goes a spec list.
Engine :
- 2.0 9a 16v from a corrado, unknown mileage as there is no paperwork for that engine when i got the car but i recently had to change the headgasket so i got chance to look everything over, the bottom end has been rebuilt recently and that is very strong, no wear in the bores or damage to the pistons and the head was barely carbon'd up.
- Metal Headgasket upgrade from the ABF engine
- Full and complete service, gearlinkage bushes, gearbox oil, engine oil and filter, cambelt, spark plugs, leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, water pump, thermo stat, brake fluid change(dot 5.1), power steering fluid changed, powersteering belt changed, basically everything serviceable has been done.
- Engine has after market cams in not sure on the specs but i compared them to some normal KR cams and they are much bigger.
- The car is very very fast being a 2.0 16v on its own producing around 170-175bhp which in a light mk2 like this it is very quick
- 50bhp Zex nitrous fogger kit all installed.
- K&N panel filter
- WUR mod
- New distributor as hall sender had packed up
- C0 been set to 2%
- New ISV as it would not idle properly
- Lots of carbon fibre detailing scuttle,battery cover, rad cover, strut tops etc, all real carbon fibre sheet not fake stuff
Chassis and brakes :
- FK highsport coilovers all round fully height adjustable
- BRAND NEW 256mm brakes, new brembo discs and pagid pads all round stops awesome and no vibrations
- New rear wheel bearings
- Rear calipers stripped down and rebuild as they were seized like normal hand brake works as it should now.
- Front upper strut brace adjustable
- Rear upper strut brace adjustable
- G60 steels in very good condition with centrecaps and all nut covers, 2 tyres brand new, the other 2 are nearly new with loads of tread
- Car grips very very well and corners better than any car i have ever had
- Rear seats and parcel shelf etc have been removed BUT they will come included in the sale if you wish to return it to more standard.
Bodywork and misc :
- Diamond black metallic has a blue metal flake in it when the sun hits it, all the arches, side trim and textured parts on the bumper have been colour coded very well to the car not flaking or peeling off.
- Carbon passenger mirror black(will come with mirror included), passenger side spot lamp grill black, drivers left open for cool air for K&N all real carbon fibre sheet not fake stuff
- Just bought brand new genuine badges all round for the car, grill, side gti badges, rear badge over £50 worth.
- Brand new genuine cambelt cover from VW dealer
- MOT till july time
- Tax for the whole year untill december
- Aircon model to return it to aircon all you would need is a pump and lines, has all the different heater controls, condensor in the passenger footwell behind dash etc. So all original factory equiptment.
- Power steering, electric windows, central locking, full working sliding sunroof etc.
- Clocks rear 170k but obviously irrelivant due to engine change etc.
- No major rust to speak of, just a little bit showing at the bottom of the drivers door like usual everything else is good.
Bad points :
Only a couple of very minor things, the accumulator needs changing as it will start when cold and when hot but when warm is SOMETIMES not all the time starts on 3 cylinders but clears as soon as you rev it everything has been checked and its been traced back to the accumulator not holding fuel pressure while the car is standing
A little bit of cracking on the rear bumper on the passenger side, never really bothered me as it came to me like that when i bought it.
Folder full of receipts for parts bought been totaled up to around £800 since i got the car so you wont have any problems as i have fixed them ALL. Receipts for years before where the car had EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING checked before it went for MOTs so has been very well looked after. Full service history in the original service booklet. All original owners manual, wallet etc comes with the car.
I'm sure there is loads i have missed out so ask away if you need to know anything but i have been as honest as possible about the car.
