Thanks. Yup, Bristol. Is that your L300? Looks familiar! Great photo too. Bristol boy - HOORAH! L300 sure is mine. It's a fairly well know sight around Bristol so there is every chance you might have spotted it at some point. Seeing as you're local, fancy popping round for a chat & cuppa? I am usually found here when I am not at home: retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=othrmod&action=display&thread=57168More than welcome to pop around anytime. Let me know?

Some new pics... Be interested to hear opinions on the Alfa wheels. I wasn't too sure to begin with but they've now been on a while and they've grown on me.

The standard 156 alloys look better on a CX IMHO, but I can't help thinking the CX always looks best on its original 'moon discs'.

Now, I tend to like standard fitment, but as Aerodynamica has the full trims on his, I really appreciate the difference of the Alfa alloys. A stunning car whatever really!

Yup, the standard alfa alloys have been done on CX's so thought I would be different, plus these are 16". I tend to agree re:standard wheels and covers. Will go back to them sometime for sure. It does drive better with wider tyres and it's been good to experiment.

I think those wheels really suit it actually. It modernises the look of the whole car (thats a compliment BTW even though Ive read it a few times and it sounds funny, but you know what I mean!) Just shows how good the cx shape was in the first place

Awesome ;D
I've liked the shape of these ever since I got a dinky-toy one as a child. Haven't seen any around in forever... it's gotta be one of maybe, what, one in Bristol that's still in good working order?

absolutely gorgeus car, i think the alfa wheels look good, you could do with sourcing some citroen overlays for the centre of the wheels

Thats one of the nicest CX's I've seen. I normally go for the Turbo II's etc but that's just stunning!

I believe in honesty, and I don't really like the modern alloys on it, but it's your car so it's cool if you like it

love it. I really can't decide on which wheels I prefer. I think the standard disc trims suit the car better and don't distract from the beautiful shape. But the alfa 5 spokes look nice and wide.
Its like the early diablo's and 6 series, very simple and beautiful before all the plastic got stuck on in the 80's

I really like the Alfa wheels too - sometimes alloys look gash on old Cits IMO but those look ace. Makes a change to the usual pepper pot ones too.
I'd copy you but since our cars are also the same colour it would be über daft lol

I saw this motor in the flesh today - WHAT A CAR!! I was just coming off the M32 in Bristol from visiting Grunty up in Gloucester when I saw this drive past. I was stuck at the lights and thought I'd never be able to catch up to it. A mile or so up the road (with some enthusiastic driving) - there it was in front of me, so a few flashes of main beam and it pulled over. Sean it was really great to meet you and to chat about your car. Thanks for letting me have a good look and sit in it. It's SOOOO lovely! The more I looked at it, the more amazed I was that this is a 30yr old car with styling/detailing and little touches that put a lot (most) modern cars to shame. I look forward to meeting up again soon and in the meantime, keep enjoying the car.....remember what we discussed about 'each journey' Cheers for now, Bruce.
