I haven't owned this bug long but ive been offered a job that is quite a distance away and I don't want to abuse this beetle with long distance daily duties even though I know she would be fine I just don't want to ruin it. Anyway on with the details
Tax exempt but disc is till the end of the year

It is very solid and there is no rot on it at all, its had some welding(not many 70s ones havent) but looks to have been done well and will last. heater channels are all solid, pans are solid etc.
Engine has only just been built done less than 100 miles its 1679cc with mildly ported and polished heads, all new pushrod tubes, every seal replaced, bearings replace and a brand new oil pump fitted etc head were rebuilt and valves lapped back in etc. No end float and engine is very good runs well, gets good MPG and is quite powerful for its small size. Twin port as well obviously. The only thing that lets the engine down is a small exhaust blow really but easily dealt with a performance exhaust or replacement heat exchangers/jtubes as the actual standard silencer part isnt very old and that is not blowing. Gearbox is good all does in gears well no crunches etc. Brand new release bearing and a brand new clutch was fitted also, all tinware in place and new seal around the engine bay fitted too.
Wheels are empi 5s with painted centres, all brand new/nearly new tyres, not sure how many splines down on the back but quite low with a bit of camber, adjustable beam on the front, was going to narrow it so it could go lower at the current height the adjusters are set as high as they will go so the front could go on the floor if you narrowed the beam or got smaller tyres as they are 195/50s.
Body has had a few modifcations are you can see, dehandled, rounded door tops, 1 piece windows, some air slots smoothed off at the back, bumper mount holes smoothed, Type 3 rear lights frenched into the wings and a VERY nice custom dashboard. all bodywork has been done well as this was all done back in the late 80s and is still lasting with no cracking etc. Front wings are fibreglass and have a couple of cracks just on the edges looks like it used to run lower and the tyres hit the arch once and put some small cracks in, Could easily be repaired or could replace with metal wings. US headlights etc semi W decklid, stand offs etc.
Interior is a well fitted mk3 gold gti recaro-esque interior, rear seats all split and fold just as they would in the golf, from seats slide and tilt forward and height adjust just as they would in the golf, seats are all mint with only a tiny hole in the drivers side bolster and I mean tiny(size of a 1p?). Good sound system in it, JVC headunit mounted under the dash, rear 6x9x on nicely made parcel shelf, 1000W amplifier only hooked up to a small 8" sub at the moment but could easily fit a bigger sub and have LOTS of bass as it is 1000W RMS amp and all fitted well.
Bodywork could have a few tiny touch ups done on it etc but for a car done in the late 80s it is VERY VERY good. Wiring is a bit messy under the bonnet but thats all the wiring for the alarm and door poppers.
Up for a CHEAP £2600ono as I need to start the job quickly so need a different car for it asap. or will swap/PX with money my way, will consider anything interesting, nothing really boring please like 1.1s etc, needs to be fairly quick etc but ANYTHING considered so just try me you never know.
