SOLD NOW, THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST
1984 Triumph Acclaim, 'Triomatic' auto box, 1.3 engine, brown cordroy interior, peppermint green paintwork.
I could market this as one of two things, a small project requiring a few months work to return it to a mint car or as a cheap daily with a few days work required to get it through another MOT.
Had the car 4 months, its been faultless but the tax runs out at the end of the month and its time to move on. MOT is untill half way through May so gives you a bit of time to do a couple of jobs that I think it would need.
Engine is good, runs fine, sometimes stutters and stalls when you try and pull away but its hardly a big problem.
Gearbox is faultless
Interior is stunning, great conditon no major stains/rips. A little wear on the carpet but its under the mats so you don't see. cassette player works great!
Bodywork is the let down, its no rust bucket but there is a couple of areas which would require some attention under the rear arches, whether this attention involves a welder is up to you! otherwise its all cosmetic issues, rear arches are quite rusty and could do with some attention, sills have been repaired before so are sound but are just painted black, paintwork is a bit dodgey, rattle canned in places, front wing has a few dents and a looks like its been repaired but it does the job. Bumpers have a couple of dents but the rest of the trim and stuff is good.
Mechanicals all appear good but ive not checked too hard, might need some new pads or soemthing but it all works so I don't touch it.
Otherwise just a few little issues like dodgey remote wing mirror on the drivers side etc.
Got a big box of spares too which stands me at £50 form the scrappy alone!
I'm looking for £100 for the car with the original wheels or £300 with the alloys. (alloys require 2 new tyres)
if you want it be swift, I'm going to put it on the bay before the end of the month so people can collect before the tax expires.
