.... to photo a car that Ive known about since I was about 7 and discovered how to ride a bike. It'd been there for many a year even then! I also made a NEW find hiding in the bushes a short distance away, in the same (small) wood that Id never known about! Bearing in my this was my childhood stomping ground I was pretty surprised! New find..... is there something in there?..... Yes.... yes there is! a VW beetle I think.... rat look? LOLz Anyhow, onto the mystery car, although after some internet pondering I'm pretty sure Ive worked out what it is..... what about you? Still wonder how it got there, its a few fields away from the road! Didnt know if this should be in the 'abandoned ones' thread or not!

Hey cool finds! I like seeing cars like this, almost totally returned to nature and deep in a wood leaving you wondering how they'd got there! I often think to myself that i'd like to leave one somewhere for future generations to discover.

Hang on. I've just recognised the bumper format. ANd the fibreglass. Its a Bond Equipe! Rear valance upside down. What do I win? Actually I'll have the steering wheel if its there, regardless of condition

With all that GRP around, I reckon that's a Bond Equipe...
Edit: Looks like we were both typing at the same time Seth!

yeah, I was wondering about the fibreglassy-ness of it too. Make that a third guess for the bond.

I wish I could know why someone took the rear spring but left the steering box and the diff.
Another cue I noticed is the front of the chassis is different, there is no front valance bar because the Equipe has a longer bonnet and th valance is part of the bonnet.

Awesome, a Bond Equipe eh? I thought it was a spitfire or something from looking at chassis pictures on google images Although I was saying to myself "didnt know Spitfires were fibreglass!" heh. But thats 10 times cooler! Was half tempted to see how solid the chassis was in some sort of mis-guided rod attempt but I doubt Id have the skill to do that even if it was mainly solid, which I highly doubt! Seth.... Ill have a rummage through the undergrowth and see what I turn up Youll probably be lucky though..... don't think theres even a steering colomn or anything. Heh Magnumpi Ill revisit the beetle tomorrow and see whats left of it!

Yeah, well the Bond's had Les Leston steering wheels (and seats!) from the factory. Would be a cool thing to have even if disintagrated. Don't go out of your way though
