not mad at all, I rather like them too. jago take on a vw drag buggy would rock 3.5x15 centrelines or something on the front and 8.5/10x15 rears with fat lo-pro mickey Ts out back, slam and cage. YB when funds allow ;D mmmm.

good plan b n d ;D
my plan as posted on the jago oc
plans are, clean body(no add ons at all) pokey motor(vaxhall 2.0 8valve,bmw 318is,ford i4,) and(this where I may loose the good will of the forum) low, lower than a snakes belly, low like go-cart low, as low as the chassis will let me go. I know this goes against the whole ethos of the original design, but I think it could look immensely cool. think about it, bright metallic green tub and bodywork, satin black everthing else visible, no weather gear, totally waterproof inside(i own a very good hat ). was thinking mini speedo with all the functions inside the unit itself, a rubber button for the horn and headlights. carlton/monza single multi function stalk. oh and custom made saddle leather race seats with removable rough cut sheepskin inserts.
oh hells yes. anybody fancy"building" me that on p/shop? ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

gets my vote! X2 If you can get it to look anywhere near as badass as some of the above there is no way you won't be onto a win win situation ;D

I can see that...a sort of updated version of Bryn's Land-Rover!!
8V Vauxhall gets my vote....simple, reliable grunt, 120bhp out of the box. Just buy a rusty Carlton for its engine/box and you're onto a winner. Later Marina Van speedo is the same size as a Mini one but with fuel/temp gauges inside, that would sort that one.....

You're mad, Jack! That sounds a brilliant plan! Do these Jago things come up very often? There's also the possibility of finding one of those Mahindra / Asia Roksta things, with Peugeot diesel powArz! Or have I gone too far?! ;D

Eagle jeep (RV) I see your plan, and already did it (sort of- that wasnt meant nasty at all, but has come out a bit odd now I read it back) Had a jago too. they were quite fun Qwerty, the eagle one is cortina based.........

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Didn't realise it wasn't just the Gorillaz that spelt it Geep. You're giving me ideas now though. I have a spare Patrol SWB running chassis, whats the wheelbase of a Jago?

For much cheapness, could you use a Mahindra Indian or sSangyong Korando Family (not the modernish hard top the original one used but the Korean police).
They were both licensed Jeep CJ models, the Mahindra uses a pug diesel engine, and I think the earlier Korando did too.
Yeah it is gonna rust badly, and be basic, but it means you have a nice simple cheap and genuine base to work with.

these are really cool little toys. I have owned on for 2 years and haven't go round to doing anything with. I was going to give it the low roadster look with a cut down screen and wide low profile 18s. keep us posted if you get round to building one. its nice to no I'm not the only made man ;D

The god thing about using the Jago as a base instead of a Mahindra or similar is that its an Escort based Kit Car so getting it slammed to the ground is pretty easy!

Ace plan!! I think they're well cool, a real fun vehicle A bloke in the pub used to keep badgering me to buy his, never had the money at the time but I often regret missing out on it. I don't think you have to do anything to one of these, the WIN is baked right in already IMO.

I'v had quite a few geeps and eagles over the years both great fun, but good ones cost good money, if i were you i'd look at real jeeps, my mate has picked up quite a few old CJ5's over the years for similar money and they are much cooler (real 4x4 is a huge bonus too.)

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.
