	Just bought this. Unused since '83. Its going to need some TLC to get it functioning but its so solid its crazy! I guess it was only 7 years old when it was stashed in a garage so the body has almost no rot. Mileage is 60,000. Its got very stale smelling petrol. However, typical Datsun. Set of jumpleads and a spin on the starter and off she goes. Going to try driving it tomorrow. Then I'll find out if it has brakes! Left side has some damage but its fixable.

	That looks a good find.... why was it stashed so young? How bad's the damage (is that the reason for parking up?) Looks like it's ready to roll as is from that pic!

	Seems to've had a hard life considering she was parked up when she was only six , already had front corner prang (wing replaced, grille glued together) DIY dent repairs (slab of fibreglass mat just bunged over a dent! ) a replacement drivers door from a scrappy, and paint all over the door weatherstrips etc. I'll post pic of the damage to the left side.

	Well i've been busy going through the faults. done all this... change petrol rh wheel cyl seized adjusters seized lh wheel cyl, replaced, and shoes not charging. replace alternator f brakes bind - rebuilt calipers fuel sender not working- renew wiper blades replace loose lh headlamp - new rim aerial -replace battery and clamp -fit exh mount - renew blower motor - unseize screen washers fit pump horns - repair f numberplate damaged numberplate light - fix floor hole - weld heater leaking into car - replace heater core fuel pipe blockage - done lh f flexi hose replaced oil and filter change replace 4 tyres 2 hubcaps missing. found replacements rh headlamp blown replace valve stem seals replace thermostat and gasket replace balljoint and trackrod end rubbers one thing left to do weld lhr sill hole CAR DRIVES SUPERBLY! Love driving it.

	Brilliant! My girlfreind, Beth, went on a road trip around Oz in one of these back in the day. It took her, about 5 others and a curse word load of stuff accross Oz with no worries at all. From what I understand (and judging from the pics), It received a right royal beating as well. Top motor!

	the WEIRDEST THING just happened, the original owner just phoned me up, and he lives two roads up from me here in East Grinstead!. His cousin happened to mention he sold the car to someone in E.G. so he googled me and phoned up . I just popped round there and picked up the service history, spare keys and.. the V5. Wooo! Chap even told me how the dents came about. Small world.
