1984 Renault Trafic coachbuilt motorhome. 2 berth but could be easily made into four berth.
2068cc (I think) diesel with five speed box. Had new clutch, cam belt and brakes within last 10,000 miles. Cooker, fridge, sink, loads of storage areas, four seats all with seatbelts, front captain's seats, electric hook up etc.
Seems to drive well enough and with some work would be the basis for some cheap holidays or camping at shows etc.
Taxed until end of September '09, MOT expired. A cursory glance tells me it'll want two small bits of welding underneath (both sills) and behind the driver's side headlight. Please see faults list below too:
Known faults: welding (as above), needs a bit of tidying here and there, haven't tested the 240V electrics or the gas so please bring a gas bottle and regulator if you'd like to try gas system. Sink has no taps, you'll need water tanks (portable ones ideal), and there's sure to be some piddly other jobs needing to be done.
It also smokes like a chimney when cold and it takes a few miles to clear up so please bear this in mind. That said it's been stood a while so a service and good run might help it a great deal.
So there you have it, a cheap motorhome for someone that needs work/recommisioning. It's sold as it stands and any inspection/trial is welcome.
Would like to swap for something, open to suggestion but will need tax and MOT. I do NOT want a 1st gen Civic, BMW or Golf.
Campervan in Chester, Cheshire easy to reach from motorway network.
