2nd SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH @ 6.00pm The second Saturday of every month brings us the Yank and Rod meet, thats now diversified into classics aswell (well Ive never been asked to leave...) This little gathering has been running for years so theres generally plenty of diversity and plenty of space if you want to bring a mate or two The Location couldn't be easier to find, J1 of the M621 and head towards the huge B&Q warehouse, you'll be looking for the noisey cars parked out front Heres a map for those that need it, you need to get where the red 'X' is So the details: 2nd Saturday of Every Month Junction 1 Retail Park Leeds, LS11 0BD From 6pm(ish) So, hopefully see some folks there

This is definitely a fixture for me now after what you told me. My favourites were the Model A Coffee Grinder rod and Si's E23 resplendent in 80's gold. Sadly I couldn't get there first thing because I was in Rochdale, what with my Nan being on her last legs and all. Was still more than worth it. Heavy Yank content but it didn't seem to matter what you were driving, as long as it was old. The staff in the Burger King were seriously drained - they told Si and me it had been a busy night. The good thing about the meet is that it doesn't seem to attract a chavvy element. The BK does good business and no one gets annoyed by some twunt trying to drift around the car park. The upshot of this is that the police leave us alone. Have some shottage from me. It was about 8.15 when I got there, and my camera seriously hates the dark. Stunning Model A rod with a period 331 cu Fire Power mill. These were fitted in the Chrysler 300s that were so dominant in the early 50's NASCAR. Some time later one ended up at the docks in Stockholm, and a young designer call Jan Wilsgaard was tasked with designing the replacement for the Volvo PV 544....... No curse word yellow Fords were evident, sadly. It would have rounded off the night well. Si's E23 skulking into the night. His speedo drive broke going back down the M62. Freshly imported 1968 GTX that had a great deal of difficulty starting, mainly due a criminally undersized battery. Imagine an 068 having to start a 440 cu motor and you have the root of your problem. It fired up easily enough with a shove. I'm sure the starter ring gear will love it.

I saw someone had started a thread about when this meet is, so I've updated this thread with all of this years dates. I'll hopefully be there next month, as it falls on my 25th birthday, I should be allowed to do what I want
