Very talented. Have you thought about a 'shop' on something like Etsy? My wife sells her handmade contemporary jewelery on there, and raves about it. Might be worth a look, as skills/vision like yours, pointed to the right audience, can be quite lucrative. I have no idea what your day job is, but if you're turning this stuff out to releive the boredom, you're in the wrong job!

Fcuk you have some serious artistic talent there. If you took any of them to a car/bike show you would sell the lot in no time at all. Hats off to you fella and i only wish i had a quarter of the talent you have Stunning workmanship. Stu

lol, cheers for the comments guys. the rods do take quite a while so prob not worth doing for 20-30 quid a piece. the tiki tubes are pretty quick to make though and i have been toying with the gearknob idea, don't like universal fit ones though as they come loose...

those are wicked try some of the pipes on ebay and things... you can chuck a buy it now price on.. gotta be worth a go? and if you can make these there must be loads of things you could make car wise... like gearknobs. dustcaps. numberplate surrounds? handcrafted stuff allways looks better than chinese rip offs

Ohh yeah.. gearknobs! Interesting and wacky gearknobs always seem to go down a treat with the retro crowd.. aircooled vw scene in particular.

Your practical skills appear to be as good as this guys www.jamescorbettart.com/The scale and level of refinement are different and he's wandered away from the automotive theme since I first became aware of his stuff, but he's getting a good bit more than £25 a crack GO FOR IT!

Excellent craftsmanship! I think pitched at the right market you could sell them for a price that would make it worthwhile, for sure. My initial thought was the USA - huge car culture, and plenty of people willing to put their hands in their pockets for something unique like this. Not sure how you'd go about reaching your market but that just takes a bit of working out. I would do some sums to work out how much time each piece takes, calculate your hourly wage (you can put in what you like really), the cost of materials (well, I take it that's free at the moment, from work, but still...) and get a basic cost price. Add your profit margin and see what kind of figures you get. You don't want to be selling yourself short!

Fabulous
I´d like one of those tubes as a tailpipe, if they aren´t too fat. Which diameter do they have?

And maybe the tubes could be modifyed a bit into gearknobs? I'd have one of those as well if you managed it! I had exactly the same thought. I'd buy one of the rods for sure.

well, lets face it, they're made in spare time. As a business the rods would no doubt take wayy too long. but if you were able to make them larger, like 10-12 inches long, and get into the right art deco shop as mentioned, £95 each? If you can make the tiki tubes quicker, make them your main concern, and work out some related 'accesorizing' items you can also make quickly. give them a brand, stamp them on bottom, number them as a limited edition and sign them, and they could become a cult item. I'd concentrate on metropolitan yuppie hangouts and home furnishings as a main selling point, but have an automotive branch perhaps.
The absolute tip over the edge will be when you design them slightly different so that they have a practical home furnishing use. Like if they were also speakers for an ipod or something lol, or a doorstop. all of a sudden you'll be making more at this than your 'real' job.

they are very cool, the pipes can easily be useful for a wide range of things both functional and for decoration.they would make very cool intakes or rev counter/dial housings etc,I think your designs already know their market.the hotrods are awesome too. Respect

They're amazing, I think someone mentioned this before but they'd make excellent trophies for car shows. It may be worth getting a plinth made up and a little brass plaque and offering them round to hot rod car show people, santa pod etc. I think you should put together a for sale thread for them with good close up photos and prices. Put this up on this forum (I'd take one of the engines or maybe even a rod ) and a few other hot rod/ general car ones and I recon you'd shift that lot no problem. How about getting a stall at a car show or at S Pod on a busy/hot rod related meet? Price wise you either base it on.... - What you recon people will pay (since if you're making them at work they're not technically costing you anything!) - What they would cost you based on an hourly rate with materials and then add a margin like a business would. - What YOU recon they're worth to you, you've obviously put a lot of time and effort into these so it how much you'd want to part with them. I recon the only way to make this into a business on it's own is to make it art rather than just 'stuff you've made' by putting your name on them, having a fancy website, getting them in the right shops and creating a niche. Without this 'added value' you're competing with mass produced stuff which is always going to be cheaper. Good luck whatever you do
