I bought a Peugeot Partner a couple of days ago and noticed today after it rained that water sits on it funny. Waited til it dried and ran my fingers over it. Every panel apart from the bonnet has a kind of rough feeling to it. I reckon it wasn't dewaxed properly when new and no-one has bothered since! Its now 7 years old!
Anyone got any top tips for removing the wax? I have a little of the All Purpose Cleaner we used to used sometimes on new cars at Arnold Clark, but it isn't making much of an impact!
Cheers for you expertise folks!

Try a clay bar to remove everything, that should do the job nicely. But don't forget to re-wax it afterwards, as it'll remove any protection so it might get stonechips easy.

there are a bunch of degreasers and wax removers out there. You could also use cellulose thinners (ensure it won't react with your paint first!) Any bodyshop supplies place should be able to provide you with a dewaxer/degreaser.
As Hirst says clay is good for getting all the ingrained grime and so forth out of paint, but I'd use a chemical cleaner on it first or you'll get through a lot of clay trying to do it that way.

As above, clay bar. To start with, wash the car, then wipe with white spirit or panel wipe to get the worst of the roughness off.
