Love mine aswell, had a 1.3 Mk4 when a was 17, but rotten so dumped it on the junkyard.. Missed it so much, that i bought my grey one 150000KM on the clock, also not realy much for a 22 year old girl See it on my thread. I just LOVE my Mk4, had the same prob as you had, but it luckly survived For more info and pics, check my thread Can`t wait to see more pics of your Mk4 ! Gr. Davey

I found your thread Davey, your car is so stunning! ;D You were lucky to find such a good one. Mine has just had a big restoration as it got rotten underneath from sitting in a damp garage My engine also partly survived 'the cook' and was rebuilt, but I felt it was never the same so I managed to source another one with only 15k on it! The car has A LOT of sentimental value for me and I have cried over it many times! I should have lots more pics to show you as I get it back this week. It's been away in restoration for 15 months! I got to see it 2 weeks ago though, so here is a little sneak preview.... I have also changed the indicators & side repeaters this week, back to the original ones which I luckily had kept, they are of course, orange.

That looks mint ! Love the look of it ! I`m thinkin of puttin` my ambers back.. Original looks superb ;D And everywhere you see white indy`s, so i`m going back the orange I bought this also for those unpainted bumpers, realy everyone puts on colourpainted bumpers.. I love basic Escorts Hope to see more pics of your Mk4 soon. Mini cant ever go, i love it 2 much.. Memories it gave to me, you know..

Thanks Davey! It really is mint! Here are some pics of the interior to show you the immaculate condition. They were taken before the restoration, nothing has needed touched in the interior, it's so good I was looking at your escort on your thread again. You should defo go to orange indicators and side repeaters, it will look amazing! It was lucky I kept my original ones. I found them in the boxes which the clear ones had come in, and they were totally new looking! Even though I had taken them off the car in 2000 when the car was 11 years old, at that point it only had 9000 miles on the clock! Base models are so cool, they rule! You can see in my pics I had a stripe before the respray. I decided to leave it off but now I'm not so sure, what do you think? Who is mini? Your mk1 or mk4?

Both really nice cars you have there. Have a real soft spot for the Lancia. They're FWD aren't they. And the Volumex, was that only done on the hatchback shape?

Fancy meeting you here! Both so cool! I'm envious Both really nice cars you have there. Have a real soft spot for the Lancia. They're FWD aren't they. And the Volumex, was that only done on the hatchback shape? Yep, FWD... and the supercharged Volumex came in Coupe form, and was a few years later than this one too
