.. And other than a couple little issues with lights and exhaust, I love it ;D There will definitely be a fresh readers rides thread appearing very soon.
I have a question though, Joe painted it at the Gathering and it's now a lovely 'tactile' black. I've got the V5 here.. do I tell the DVLA now or send it off in my name, then send it off a second time to change the colour? It's an attention grabbing car so keeping within the realms of legality is quite high on the agenda for me!
Cheers
;D

Plans involve sorting the exhaust out because it annoys the bejesus out of me already ;D I actually bodged it up with a Blackthorn can this afternoon and it is a bit better but I can't help but thinking about side exits. More fabrication in that than I thought though because the front silencer is just in front of the rear axle and needs moving forward a fair bit. The front tyres and tracking quite desperately need sorting so I'll be off to my local tyre place this weekend. I may go with 195/50/15s to get a bit of stretch so I can lower it a tiny bit more. I'm happy with the rear height as it is. Then get the paint how I like it.. Still satin black, just a little smoother and maybe with a different coloured bonnet. It's going to be an ongoing project, just as it always has been whilst in the possession of people on this forum Glad the police weren't interested, I'll still be sorting it with the V5 when they're sent (I didn't get a chance today because I left them at home by mistake, but they're in an envelope now). My gran thought there was a tractor outside when I dropped by today ;D

I assumed that was due to the exhaust but it is quite a formidable beast when it's coming toward you, regardless of the noise it's making! Tyres in the morning.. but do I go with 205/55s as is on there now, 205/50s or 195/50s...

I'd go with 205/50's or 195 50's (maybe 195/55 or 60s) but i've never been happy with the clearance or lack of it on the 205/55's It either needs a little stretch or less wall height. Personally i'd go with a little stretch.

I'll have a chat with the tyre people in the morning I suppose.

I don't want stretch that looks obviously like stretch though.. Just enough to suit what is there already. If I go smaller on tyres then I'll have to lower it more which I don't want to do (yet ;D ). It's booked in for 195/55s at 8.30 tomorrow morning now.

Took it in to my favoured local tyre place this morning.. They did a great job of the tracking and sorted me a pair of tyres. Not quite as planned because I got a call 30 minutes after I left it with them 'Mr Cornelius, we only have a single 195/55 in stock, but I get the impression that you want a bit of stretch so how about a pair of 195/50s like the ones we did on your mazda last month?' 'I'll have to lower it more if you do..Yeah, go on then, awesome, do it'
They look spot on with 195/50s, it has to be said. I'm going to have to start a proper thread for this in readers rides now I think
