revolutionary choices there bruce! (ps there is a pun there if you look hard enough ) For me, hands down, no1. But I can't say I wouldn't own any of them, cos I would.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

I'm a big fan of no1, but 15 n 15 are pretty darn sweet too.

awesome! Are the cars featured in the mag too? Or would you need to buy the appropriate mags to get all the features? If they are all covered in this issue, where can i get a copy!

The cars were featured in the month listed below each number. No problems for me though because I've got all of the mags, been collecting for years! Here's the place to get them, not sure about international shipping: www.magshop.com.au/Street_Machine.htm

afraid they are in separate mags (there maybe a tiny bit on each in either this or the next issue, but full articles and pics are in seperate mags from the last 12 months.

Number 10. Head and shoulders in front of the others. It's the total package. Stance, paint, rims, the interior is absolutely gorgeous, and the bay is smoother than a babys bee-hind. And Torries are one of my least favourite fruits

1, 11 and 13. In no particular order.
I also quite like 9 and 12, but 12 is ruined by the wheels and stance.

Thread dig I know, but I figured you guys might be interested.
Angela Dow (Number 2) won SMOTY. Hands down. She got more votes than the 2nd and 3rd place getters combined. An 8 second, street registered Torana that's of show-car quality build.

am I the only one who thinks the majority of these cars are absolutely horrible? have they never heard of stance? or not fitting wheels that are miles too big for your car/arches? some of those are verging on donk like comedy wheel sizes.
only ones id entertain are no.9, he seems to understand wheel/arch/ride height relationship, and no 13 if the billets were binned.
i wasnt aware the austrailian government were doing a scheme similar to scrappage either, where you can trade your bonnet for a blower and a bug scoop leftover from the 80s......

I have to agree with you dez unfortunately. Great looking cars, mostly ruined by poor wheel choice. Number 9 is by far the best overall, with 8 coming in second. (wheels let it down. tut. )

am I the only one who thinks the majority of these cars are absolutely horrible? No. But each to their own. No. 3 for me please ;D Is it me or is No. 14 an Avenger? It's an LC Torana. I think it was the Viva we got out here as the HB Torana. But the HB didn't hold up to our roads, so GM reworked it to make the LC Torana. They dropped a straight 6 in it (ended up being 3.3 litres worth) which meant they stretched the nose to fit it. That one lives down the road from me. I got to watch it get painted. Seriously smooth above and below - not a crease, unused hole or sharp edge to be found anywhere on it. And I picked it on the first page of this thread way back in August! Come on, who wasn't going to vote for the good-looking chick with an 8 second street car?! The minority it would seem I do love how many people in this thread voted for the early girl Commodore (Number 9). They do make an excellent daily driver, aside from desperately needing air-conditioning... *shakes fist at these 40+ degree days*

8,3,and 14 for me . just for the record the UK street machine mag has not existed over here years and the Aussie one was always better anyway IMO not may Brit cars in because on a whole they are not that good compared to the Aussie ones IMO

street machine magazine I assume , have they now run out of brit issue cars to feature in its pages? I refuse to choose, on the grounds that I am disgusted with the (mostly) non-uk selection Seeing as Street Machine magazine hasn't existed in the UK for a good few years now, I think it's safe to assume this is the Australian magazine...
