Hi I know i don't post on here often but i really need some help with my mk golf,
the top mounting of the strut has come away from the inner wheel arch that it is welded to as it some of it has rotted away. I cant find a replacement panel anywhere and i don't want to scrap the car as its generally quiet good
any sugestions?

I think a photo of it might help here as it's hard to say what to do without seeing it. If panels aren't available you could always chop a section out of one down the scrappy.

You can get Hadrian's list of panels for the MKII here: www.carpanels.co.uk/index_catalogues.htmThey do a full inner wings and parts thereof but no pics unfortunately. Find one in a breakers and cut a lump out?

best option is to cut one outa a scrapper..... theres plenty breaking on vw forums and if you ask nice and pop round with a grinder I bet they would let you lop a bit off....
failing that, break it, but another and put all the nice bits on that..... sounds a bit bad if its gone there, golfs arnt exactly known for inner wing/strut top mount rust
EDIT: theres a 200quid mk2 golf 1300 on tidyvag, needs a new engine but otherwise mint mot'd and taxed iirc
