These are very cool, sure I've seen them before but just forgot about them!   Looks like a Jensen Interceptor and Saab Sonnett crossed with a Beetle! |

Wow, these things are amazing! Can't believe that it's a Type 3 underneath, it really doesn't look like an air-cooled VW. I'd definitely swap the body off my Beetle for one of those! Sadly seems to have suffered the same problem as the Karmann Ghia though, the engine was never powerful enough to keep up with the styling. If VW could have squeezed 100hp out of the 1600cc flat-four for the Ghia and this, they would have really been proper sports cars. Nothing that can't be fixed now with aftermarket parts though, of course!
I'll have one in bright orange with twin Webers, please!
