Hello, After getting bored of my Camouflaged Rover 416i I gave it to my sister and her new husband as a wedding present (they needed a car and I wanted something nicer!) So here is my new project: I picked her up on Friday after driving 200 miles to have a look She isn't perfect, but it's my aim to make her as mint as possible, and for the price I got her I'm not moaning! Got her booked in for a damned good service on 5th October, and in the meanwhile I'm collecting bits! A few more pics: She rocks!

Looking for one of these myself right now! Nice find - looks fairly clean. If you've not already get over to e30zone.net, there is a wealth of info there! Rust wise there is that little bit on the rear valance and some surface just behind the front wheels, so it's pretty good! I got it for a very good price too, a lot of car for very little money!

I want one of these for my girlfriend. Reasonably prices 318is are getting hard to find and they are really nice to drive so long as the suspension and all the bushes are in good condition. A chip can liberate a bit more performance although a bit of advice from the e30zone might be a good idea.
Personally I love the look of a slammed e30 but might spoil the ride of a 318is. Nice car though mate.

Nice car though mate. Thanks! I'm in the process of gathering bushes for Monday when it's due a day in the garage. I think I will need a new suspension set up too... Think it's a bit lower than it left the factory, and would like to keep the ride height as is, does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm taking it steady at the moment - learning the car and that, but it's nice and spritely!

Minor update, the front 318is spoiler is on, opted for satin black, I think it ties in with the blacked rear area of the cars anyways... This weekend the foglight is getting replaced, and I'm going to sort out the speakers - some nobber has hacked away the parcel shelf for big speakers, but I'm just keeping it low key with some amplified 6.5's at the rear and amplified components up front methinks... Before spoiler: After:

Slight update, bought some BBS RM's in 6.5" fitment, made them 8.5" and 9" wide: So, after the work involved with stripping and rebuilding the RM's I decided I neede 16's, as 15's just look a bit weeny, so as quick as I bought the RM's I sold them (for a tidy profit!) and fitted the lower profile toyo t1-rs that I'd bought to the BBS, and got my arches rolled a touch to help with clearance! Then I went to Le Mans and gained/noticed the "death rattle" on the way back home... So, she's currently getting looked at/the tensioner replaced and hopefully not the whole timing gear... Even so, if it needs to be done it will be, as I was mightly impressed with her ability to handle the jaunt to Le Mans and keep a good pace!

Loving the iS, I am very keen on losing my 'heckspoiler' as well. I also like the look without it. It makes the car look less pretentious, which I like in a car.
How much did you lower the car ? And is it sort of driveable with people in the back + speedbumps ? The speedbumps are absolutely killing in the Netherlands, so a lot of lowering comes with an obvious downside.
