right I'm doing a few jobs on the car , i know stainless bolts arent suitable on suspension etc due to the fact they're not high tensile
what about nuts ? are these safe /strong enough
thinking of tie rod ends , arb links , steering rack mounts

What have you got against High Tensile Stainless Steel ? Other than the cost, obviously.

yes they should be fine, as long as they are standard threaded length nuts
The stress in the female threads are not normally a problem, apart from if the threaded length is short, or it is into something soft like aluminium.

Stick to proper high tensile steel ones that are rated for the job. Safety and road legality are more important than shiny looks, especially for steering and suspension linkages. What do you mean by stainless steel? If they're cheap decorative rubbish, then throw them in the bin. If they're actually high tensile ones, then go ahead.

Stainless steel work hardens then cracks with movement/vibration which is why its no good for suspension bits.
