BMW E21 316. 1.8 carb engine, 110k miles, extensive history including original bill of sale from October 1981.
MOT Until 3rd September 2010, Tax until 31st March 2010.
I bought this with a blown engine back in June and a later M10 engine from a 1985 316 was fitted to replace it. The engine uses no oil or water, I've serviced it, and it pulls really well. It also has the 5 speed 'economy' gearbox which makes motorway cruising much nicer.
Recent parts fitted include weber 32/34 carburettor, springs, dampers, brake discs pads and calipers. Body could do with a little TLC, but is solid in all the right places.
Assorted spares come with the car including exhaust back box, twin headlamp grille, front seats, and various engine parts.
The registration has been valued at £400 by 2 independent websites.
I'm using this as my daily driver at the minute, but I'm giving up retros for a while due to the impending arrival of our first baby.
All in all this would make a great daily driver or an excellent base for a project.
