Good or bad? I posted up a pic of my XJ Cherokee in the readers rides section and mentioned that I had a second silver one I'd just picked up and intend to lower, rather than go with the 'good ole boy' tower high stance. After reading a few of the jeep forums answers to people that had the same idea,it seems to be viewed in the same way as kicking a puppy down a crowded highstreet! I think it would look pretty good, anyone else got a view on this? Not an XJ,but an idea of the look (though I won't be going this extreme ;D) Strange thing is,mine's got the same rims

That one's kind of too low to the point where it looks a bit curse word, but it can be really nice. Bryn's landrover is cool.

Well as an ex XJ owner and jacked up 4x4 fan I think slamming one will make it impractical, pointless and only upset the cars fan base. DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT! Have you tried www.jeepforum.com at all? They have a separate section for 'Street Jeeps' which should have the information you need. Dropping an XJ shouldn't be too hard, especially at the back which is leaf spring.

's your car, do whatever tickles your fancy.
It might be a tiny bit iconoclastic for a Jeep purist, but it's not like they're rare or anything.

I say do it too. It may not be practical as a 4x4 anymore but then theirs not substitute for style... Plus its about a million and sixty seven times cooler Always thought it would look good but have never seen pictures now i say you have to do it as apart from bryns car they all look to be stateside and i cant find any more pictures so a rare breed!

I've been thinking about this for my new CRD Grand Cherokee, cus it rides like a piece of sloppy curse word. Only info I found was on a yank forum and they all raise them for rock crawling. And its on its third set of front shocks in it's 5yr lifespan!
So it looks like for me it'll be custom springs if i want to go lower, but saying that the raised ones on chunky bead-locks look sweet!

Doo eet! I have had this idea in my head for the last three years, one day it will get done: funnily enough i have the same plan, i have a RR shell to play with having just sold the mechanical bits, i'm planning on sticking a scimitar GTE chassis under it because after looking at the RR chasis and axles i think it would only go low enough on the stock stuff to look like the springs were broken, and not low enough to look like you meant it.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.
