What has £100 bought you in the past? Me? Well, a MK2 Cav (taxed and mot'd), five minis, a Triumph Dolomite, a MK1 Polo, an Orion and also.... ...so come on, let's see yours. I'm not talking about bits of cars, I want FULL cars for £100 or under that you have owned. Go! ;D Chris

Not got any pics of when i first got it (was dark metalic red, tidy but blown motor) but my 67 bug was only £100 too. Well, bit of cheating, it was £250 but i sold the amps and subs and headunit This pic was obviously part way through working on it. That was maybe 2004.

only got a realy bad scanned copy. The pink (was supposed to be purple ) bug was my first car, that was £450 though, but the mini was my second car. Was £100 as a stocker with a leaky rad. Still took it to liverpool and back a couple of times thoguh (from essex). Car got metro MG running gear and a complere rebuild with new parts. By the time this pic was taken I had £3500 in it

£75 got us this. We all clubbed together at school, people donating £5 here and there, to get a car to "dump" in the headmasters space on the last day of school. A few days of scouring the Loot came up with this. Imagine a car thats escaped the scrapyard. It refused to run on more than 3 cylinders, the dashboard was cracked all over the shop, the oil looked like onion gravy, it broke down all the time, (plus a million other things) I can honestly say we were ripped off at the price Lots of fun though! Aaaah happy days. Ended its days at a local airfield as a 'field car' when they werent happy with us ragging round in it anymore it got sent for scrap And if youre wondering Dingle was our Headmasters name.

was only welded on the inside, it was a mint genuine bumper.
Not sure if i let it go with teh shell when i broke it or threw it in teh skip or sold it seperate, was a while ago.
I planned on brazing it on the front then re-chroming but local kids repeatedly caved the roof in untill it was too far gone to repair. Last i heard the shell had had a rag sunroof fitted (golde)

If you look from the top of the bumper the V section sticks out further as i had to rake the ends forward too to clear the wings properly. I don't think any others were done like that.
If you took pics off it inside and out ill probably be able to tell if i made it.

It has a bit of a story.
I had origional alloy T bars.
One day someone left a very well written, whole side of A4 letter on my windscreen saying how the T bars would brake peoples legs, trip up old ladies etc.
I broke them both parking nose on to a curb so I made that bumper. As I didnt want the letter wrighter to think they had one I put bullet bolts on the mounts ;D
Oh, I think the bumper may also be flipped upside down, that would tell it apart from otehrs too. (edit, looking again, it may have been the rear i flipped)

I think most of the cars I've owned have been under a hundred quid! ;D ^ My latest - £75 worth of Saab 900. Bit of MOT left, passed the last one without any grief. ^ 1981 Escort 1.6 Ghia, £50. 6mths T&T too... ^ The Mazda of Doom, swapped for a BMX and a camera. ^ 1981 Volvo 264. Bit pricey this one - £80. Also bought a Peugeot 205 diesel for £70 but there were no pics of that. I've probably forgotten some.

LOL, I remember that! ;D "Was" being the right word... I looked at that photo quickly and thought it said "Dingle the tw*t" along the side. Levin wouldn't have stood for that curse word ;D

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.
