Time has come to start tidying on the Estate Currently it's a mix of badly crazed dirty white, rust stains, black patches (jenolite ) and light green (moss ). Seats are tidy blue/green and won't be getting changed. Windows need to come out to fix water leaks, so it seems like a good time to repaint the roof. Rest of the car needs doing, but it won't be happening this week. Now looking for the new colour scheme I know what is top of my list so far, but open to suggestions some pics to get the ideas started... and here's one they prepared earlier ;D progress pics should be available after the weekend

Voted classic but whats in my mind is rally rep.. white body, big lights matt black bonnet.. might be as I just watched classic rallying on you tube, or could be a briliant idea!

I've gone for classic with black roof, maybe a very light beige colour? Nice looking motor, will look good regardless I reckon!

I am feeling roof and body all one colour but maybe a pastel blue or similar with some black rims and a slight amount of stick. ;D

I think it looks damn good in white! Is this the one that used to belong to Hairnet on here?

Thanks for the ideas folks, some interesting suggestions Rally-rep looks good on a saloon, not sure on an estate? White roof was considered ( and Ghostbuster look-alike ;D) but decided against. I think it looks damn good in white! Is this the one that used to belong to Hairnet on here? That's the one I picked i up a couple of months ago, have been running it as a workhose to see how it goes. No big problems so far apart from a big water leak around the front screen. , decided to take the glass out to fit a new rubber, then found the problem was big holes in the metal - not just a perished seal Undercoat now on the roof, topcoat by the weekend

I was so tempted when Marc mentioned that he was selling it, it's a really good looking car I think. I think a Ghostbusters paintjob would get old really quick. OK for some charity banger rally or a beer-fuelled weekend at Run To The Sun, but for a car like this I think it would cheapen it.

This would work even better on a Mk1. OEW, matt black bonnet and wing-tops, a few period stickers, job's a good 'un. Those Scimitar wheels are well-travelled. 2007

not Ghostbusters. What BB said on that one is bang on. A OE white or a pastel shade if you need some colour in your life.
