I'm starting to scan all my old race photos, theres a lot of albums to get through so it'll take some time, i'll keep adding updates as I get them sorted ;D As time goes by teams adapt and modify their race cars to improve their performance. Been scanning a few more photos as part of my mammoth winter/2010 project to get all the old photos online and came across this evolution, it lasted a few more years at Combe before being retired. Castle Combe Special GTs 1998 70s Camaro - stock(ish) Castle Combe Special GTs 1999 70s Camaro - less than stock!

I use to drop into the 1hr place on the way home and get them printed before I got home, it was costing me £30+ a race meet by the end of my film life, £700 on digital kit was a small price to pay as my Canon has racked up just over30000 photos in 2.5yrs

Last set for the night. 1999 again, we were on holiday in Yorkshire and just down the road from where we stayed was a huge weekend car show, they had a rally course set up with Peugeot 106's to blast round in, quickest time of the day won VIP tickets to the BTCC round at Croft, everyone else won tickets to the AMOC race meet the following weekend......we won a ticket to the AMOC meet As we got to the gate a chap in an Aston pulled alongside us and gave us a race team pass to get in as he had too many, so it was a cheap day all round ;D Would you ever race something so finely painted? Richard Chamberlain was there in his awesome 935 The Ferrari race was an exciting one, as well as a few 355s and 308s there was an F40 and an F50, first corner mayhem saw the F50 ride up the grass and spin into the pack, didn't get a picture of it, but this is the damage it inflicted on an innocent 308 At the restart the F40 was last away with a 10 second penalty, it made up 11 places by the end of the main straight
