The second album is done, the last set is a biggy from the PowerTour, a race package dreamt up to encompass GTs, F3 and a few support series. It was a full weekend with some major teams that gave away loads of goodies and provided full access to the paddocks. Jaguar had an F3 team, as it was a weekend event we stayed at a local hotel and were at the next table to the team on the saturday night, earwigging on race strategy and team talk! TVR fans will remember that boss, the late Peter Wheeler use to race in the Tuscan Cup Originally designed and built in the mid 1990s this almost counts as retro! Lister Storm The loudest car on the grid the Cerbera Outdated amongst all the 911s and TVRs the Esprit was getting long in the tooth Marcos filled the GT3 ranks The local championships finished the day off with the saloons providing plenty of action, Lancia Thema v Rover 220 The next few events to be scanned contain a lot more retro fodder, the rest of the shots can be seen here ;D

Bob Light used to be crazy at Combe, he'd often miss qualifying and start from the back to overtake everyone for the lead or pop into the pits for a laugh! Combe GTs became a home for loads of old LM3000s

I hate to bring up old posts but I found this thread through a google search, so here goes:
Does anyone have any other photos of the LM3000 cars? I ask as my father used to race them and I am eager to collect as many photos as I can for his 50th birthday next year?
If anyone has any photos like the ones already posted that would be amazing, but if you are interested, My father raced the green car alongside Dave Brunsdon and then moved to the Blue/Yellow car alongside Will Hewland, both of whom my family is still in contact with. He also started in ProSports by borrowing a black car sponsored by Microsoft which he then crashed at Combe so he decided to buy his own which came out fluorescent orange.
I have heard many stories from my father and he keeps assuring me that the day he wins the lottery he will bring back the LM3000s, I think that's one of the only things that keeps him going..!
I'm rambling a bit here, but if you have any photos or any stories I would love to see/hear!
Regards, Jordan
