any tips for this...mega tight fuel hose

i need to replace a bit of fuel hose on the golf , its rubber hose onto a fairly stiff but not un kinkable plastic hose

ive done them before and its a struggle..i dunk the rubber hose in boiling water first to help it

any ideas on a lube i could use? something that wont make it want to slide off after its on ?

A bit of washing up liquid would do wonders, also while the hose is in the boiling water use a pair of needle nose pliers inside it to keep a steady pressure on it and gently stretch it as it heats up

wont the soap make it a bad fit once its on tho?

If its tight it should be fine plus WU liquid should dry up and dissapear

Have you tried spit yet? sounds wierd but it does work

yeah lol i was telling a mate i felt like some porno dude gobbing on stuff lol

got 8mm on there and it was tight but leaks ...ive ordered some 7mm which i found its sposed to be , so I'm thinking its gona be a fight , and its near the exh mani for added danger if it leaks

if ure afriad of it slipping off if u lube it try putting a jubilee clip on when its on to tighten it up

no need for the fuel clamp chat , i hadnt planned having 5 bar fuel hose with no clamps

Hairspray, helps it slide on a dries sticky too, used it for bike grips many times.

The best thing to use is silicone spray...
