Bits of a Porsche 944 in that... but the engine is a 6.9 Litre V8 from Mercedes Benz, 350bhp. A proper monster!

I remember seeing it in 'some' magazine back in the late 80's (or maybe early 90's??) and just staring at the pics thinking: WOW!
It really got me hooked on the idea of how a 'custom' didn't just have to be a roof chop, rover V8 and big fat rear wheels. It was my first Sbarro discovery and have loved his work ever since. It dosen't all hit the spot. Most of it does, but not all of it.
The Monster, however, will always be one of those 'defining' cars for me. I'll never forget reading how a crazy Italian guy living in Switzerland had crafted the vehicle pretty much from scratch and fitted the wheels off a frickin jet plane! Epic stuff to a teenager.

Knowing Brooooose, he will already be looking into it! Looks awesome.
Some very strong hints of that in the design of the L200!

Got some Capri looks in there too ;D Is there anything Sbarro didn't do? Most of my 'Concept Cars' books from the 1980s and all my Top Trumps cards are riddled with Sbarro

Reminds me a bit of the Aton Impulse. Thank you SOOO much for posting that up! I've had this photo sat on my computer for [quite a few] years. Found it by chance on a random google search. LOVED the look of it, but never knew what it was. Until just now.... Thanks again....you've answered an age old MM mystery. ;D ;D

The guys has built some legendary stuff, i believe there is a museum full of it somewhere?!?!? Citroen stuff is mad!! Rinspeed are another similar bunch of mad men!

The piccy posted above by stonyray reminded me of watching monster truck videos when i was a kid and seeing 'Monstervette' ;D That thing was my favourite vehicle for years A quick Google search threw some random pics - Can't seem to find a pic of the original though, i'll keep looking, but in the meantime here's a vid of it in action Went to Cardiff for Monster Jam last year, the sound they make is unbelieveable!

I remember Monstervette I think, wasn't it an older corvette and the whole body lifted up to get at the engine?
