Following on from Hotwires comment I thought I'd offer up a few Coachbuilts based on VW chassis, a couple of years ago I spent a fortnight in Europe to go to Le Mans and the VW show in Bad Camberg, the place was crawling with early German tin and some uber rare cars.... Hebmüllers are cool, there was a line of 6 or 7 parked up together, from stock to modded

Okay then, I will. I've always had a real soft spot for (Swiss, I think?) Beutlers: Although not in that shade of yellow. They also made vans and pick-ups based on Beetles, which would probably have been great for transporting about four bits of 4' x 4' ply. Denzel were, as far as I can remember, Austrian, and built this lovely little 356-alike: And that's all you're going to get from me tonight. There's loads more I love, whose names I have completely forgotten. Annoying, especially when I've a copy of Bob Shaill's excellent 'VW Coachbuilts and Cabriolets' and I can't find it right now...

Actually, scratch my last comment - I've found the book and I've found a picture of a Wendler: Alloy bodied over a wooden frame. They also made a Beetle estate which looked like a Morris Traveller.

Added to (ever growing) want list.

Hi Speedman,
I'll take the white D+S please ;D
Any plans for the Rometsch? I know it was with Matt and Ben when Ben was at Airkraft. Are you planning on having the work done? Also, do you know how many rhd cars were built?
Al ;D

Some beautifully penned lines there in all the cars.
Kind of underlines the RR's credo of "Everything has potential"
Same base, such different cars.
For just plain right in my eye, the yellow Beutler, or more common VW, I would settle for a type 34 Razor.
