First off let me add the storey behind the car and it's dissapearance, from the owners own keyboard so to speak, it's long but please READ THE WHOLE POST .
"
During the early 90's i got wind of a genuine Dragoon Red MK 2 Lotus Cortina and as part of my collection i pursed the vehicle and got my hands onj a couple of years after, it was a 1 owner car which sat in a barn since the 80's , it spent its first 3 years after baught new in Germany at the Army Barracks, it was then back in the UK and last inherited by a family member, the vehicle was untouched by any standard`total dry with its original mileage.
#
I found it with a special link acrodd the back axel which was receipted by 'Safety Devices' work carried out was verey unique the car was also missing its engine so i expect that it was being preped for racing
#
This car UCR 303H sat with a restorer from 1996 I decided to put an engine and also tidy the vehicle so i could decide what i wanted to do with it.
During December 2007 I was introduced by a BSC member to a Mr GRAHAM TODD aka 'luckyblack' who told me what he was doing with these cars and restoring them as had no reason not to disbeleive him given the cars he had on the site and his residance.
;luckyblack' even posted the pictures of my car which probaly hadn't seen much daylight for all these year I had also talked about my car to the LCR many years back so I expect they will probaly warrant what i am saying.
This car`with its plates intact (not the paperwork as i have it) was handed to 'luckyblack' who promised to finish the vehicle at soem point last year, he did not do this and i had agreed with him to deliver the car as i had already paid him for a replacement engine as I now had 2 of the.
'luckyblack' and a couple of his accomplises who's names i will not mention as have not been to drop my car off for some 6 months, the last known confirmed delivery day was today ! guess what ! no car.
'luckyblack' has been calling me with a promise but his phone numbers have myteriously disappeared and I have been waiting all day for the delivery of my car.
I am obviously not a position to make any assumtions of any kind as I am still allowing 'luckyblack' to show his due and keep his promises.
Should anyone have been or are aware of wher ethis vehicle be I would not only appreciate it but also avoid any doubts of any B%^%$***T that may hav ebeen fed to me. I am hoping that someone out there is aware of the wareabouts of my car or can send a message to someone who has it.
I will in the mean time be trying to locate 'luckyblack' and probaly his merry men as he mentioned that the car was with one his partners or associates.
So any help that be provided to me would be appreciated in case it has been stolen or I have the rightful means or gettign it back please"
PICTURES OF THE CAR DURING THE "WORK"
Now this is the second car to dissapear (along with the aformentioned Mr GRAHAM TODD (AKA luckyblack) unfortunatly the first dissapearance didn't become known about until Mr TODD had already had the Lotus for over a year, the first was a 1600E he was selling for another forum member which ended up sold on ebay, after which Mr TODD dissapeared with the money.
I hope some members on here have his address and i would urge then to contact me or the Lotus owner (on BSC or PM on here). buysellcortina.co.uk
Many thanks for reading i hope we can get the car back in one piece but the chance are it has had an ID swap or been parted out during the time the owner was bieng fobbed off
I will updat the thread later with Mr TODDS last known ebay names (there are quite a few)
