Absolutely love that dash. The whole car is great, but the dials, the 3/4 steering wheel and all the little details just make this car awesome!

Not following, so I'll be the patsy and ask. ;D Obviously 'rods' were around before WW2, but the increased interest after was supposed to have been largely fuelled by ex-servicemen returning home and looking for kicks? Which some found by stripping out 30s models and goin' racin'... ;D Or is that largely a myth, without wishing to get into the whole birth of hot rodding, street rodding discush

Cars were modified before the world in small numbers, because human nature dictates we just cant leave stuff alone! lol. But after the way there was a huge influx of people returning with higher pay, engineering skills, and increased sense of thrills. These people and the modern technology, and availability of cheap old cars for once (mass production of cars had only started in the 20s after all) created the first modified car culture. Either way, that rod looks awesome!

Thanks a bill for the cure of my obtusehood. The word "irony" is what threw me off.
