- I want it ;D  Take a test drive in it , I bet you'll change your mind. Mahindra Jeep - I drove a 'brand new ' one when we had the franchise in the early nineties, completely and utterly frightening to drive , steering with a mind of it's own and no brakes to speak of either . Keep looking on the bay my fine fellow , something much , much better will come along and tickle your fancy.. |

I don't need it or have the money for it, it just looks so shonkey and dodgey I want it! I already have my iffy 4X4 (SJ Santana  ) but this just looks like it needs to be nato green or something |

When I was a kid there was a Mahindra dealership near me. I thought they were the dog's danglies then, but that's because I was a kid and didn't know any better! ;D
I've never driven one, but to be fair I'd forgive its poor road manners if it was half-decent off road. Aren't these packing some sort of license-built Peugeot diesel power plant?

I'll be as honest as I can. I went 'hurtling' as fast as possible ( 65 ) down the A19 towards Silverlink roundabout in one of these ( it was brand new at the time ) , I hoyed my size 11 on the brake only for nothing to happen . I had to stand on the fecker for it to stop.. Then I turned into the Silverlink itself towards our dealership . I wanted to go left, the Mahindra wanted to go straight on - did I mention this was a brand new 'vehicle' ? Can't remember what engine it had BB , you may well be right as regards the Peugeot lump- all I know was it was fecking frightening - Avoid at all costs ! Edit - Hey FoxM , you say it looks shonky and dodgy - you'd be right !! |

Chap over the road had one when I was a whippersnapper. Twas all in black and I too thought it was the dog's danglies. Think the local Lada dealer had the franchise.
Age hasn't been kind to that one though has it?!

It's the curse word of a Willys jeep and Postman Pats van, that grill and headlight definatly looks more Pat1 though.

A friend of mine's sister's boyfriend had one. All tricked out with chrome bars, winch, all the toys. It really was pretty awful.
So awful in fact that it has to be cool by now. Buy it! After all, ride, handling and brakess are for sissies.
If it's gone, there's always the Dacia Duster...

My boss at the recovery garage was given one with it was 2 years old as the guy who bought it said it was scary and didn't want to sell it on. I put it on its side doing daft things in the yard. Turd.

Buy a real CJ they are around and much cheaper than you'd think as well, those Mahindra things are terrible, my mate has always managed to find CJ's for banger money so you might as well buy the real thing.
