How about a tech section?BenzBoy

I know I'm a newbie here, but I'd like to suggest a Tech section on the forum. I'm sure there's a load of expertise in the membership to answer any questions, and swap tuning tips and the like. Like I said, I'm new here so if you guys are already stretched running this excellent forum then it's understandable that you wouldn't want to increase the workload!!

I quite like the simplicity of the forum...just the two sections, although judging by this evening things might be livening up.

Perhaps more in the form of article in pdf format that can be downloaded from the web site. Members with specialist knowledge could contribute articles on things like how to lower a car (safely), suspension set up, keeping it legal etc. Could make a valuable collection of knowledge!

This space available to rent. Reach literally dozens of people. Cheap rates!

I like 104ZS' idea,.. I'm trying to avoid making fragmented forums, so maybe we can answer tech questions and then stick the threads transcript, or edited thread transcripts in the articles section. A useful resource. Of course that does depend on if the activity levels keep growing Then we'll have to have a think about it.

Yeah, I'd go for putting tech threads on to the 'Articles' section on retro-rides rather than having a seperate section for technical issues - I have enough problem catching up on the two sections we've already got!
Maybe the thing to do is 'pin' any tech threads until they're finished with and then move the main parts of thread over.
Oh, that remindes me HoTWire - I've been a bit slack with the calendar latley, but I'll try and get round to adding in August this week - works been a right pain in the ar*e lately!

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

No worries,.. we're all doing this for the love of it ,.. I'd spotted you'd be quiet recently and figured it was work related ,.. I've still got to make you a ncier interface for the calendar updates, it is on my list of things to do!

This might be a complex suggestion, but why can't we use the calendar on the forum and update the one on retro-rides from that?

I'm not a big fan of the calendar on this forum,.. We have no control over it if we want to add features.
Shouldn't actually take me too long to do the adjustments to the calendar editing, just need to fit it into my workload,..
