A friend of mine said I should post on here about my project so here goes This car is my project, was/is/will be my daily driver too. She's 76 years old been in the family since new when bought in 1935, its a 907cc horizontal flat twin engine rated at 7hp back in the day with 17 bhp. Four speed box, 19 inch wheels. Also a sunroof, front opening windscreen and trafficators. This is a brief bit of info, will post up more later.

That looks cool,I had only ever heard of Bradford,Jupiter and Javelin before now so this model of Jowett is a new one on me. Best of luck with the restoration.

More pics... It drives well i don't know really its the only car Ive really been used to, gear changing youve got to pause inbetween changes as no sycro mesh. And double de clutch for down changes, for a straight line the steering wheel is never in one place if that makes sense. It turns tighter on the right than it does the left, not because its poorly set up but because the box is designed that way. It will climb most hills in 2nd gear or if she struggles then first she'll glide up.

Welcome Donk, great username. Love the fact that you have something distinctly different. What sort of daily driver duties is the car doing ? You must be the only 20 year old with a 76 year old mistress.

Thanks, for the welcome, yeah its my work nickname. She's off the road at the moment, but will hopefully be back on the road for late april early, may. She was/will be doing about 20 miles a day, 10miles too and and 10 back from work. Not too taxing for her. Used to use her everywhere got quite interesting looks from people when your out and about. When I took her to fill up once the woman at the counter was like is that your car? I think she thought how odd a guy of my age driving something of that age ha. Going to be renewing the tyres soon, 450x19s. I was orginally quoted at something like 100 pound a wheel but managed to find a place which sells them cheaper. But the tyres seem to last a lifetime. Also in the middle of putting the wiring back in which is fairly straight forward. I'll post up some more pictures also.

Can't really describe these vintage cars anything else than 'lovely' they seem so sweet and innocent, bit of a charmer!
Good luck.

Just finishing up the electrics and waiting for her engine to be rebored now, along with her new tyres she should be all set to be back on the road by mid april. Ideally I'd like her back on the road before may as its the centenry of Jowetts 1910 - 2010. Then hopefully driving her to the national up in wakefield that should be a mission. Heres another pic from a rally back in 2008 I attended
