This is bound to have been asked before, so I apologise in advance. I have tried searching but it doesn't seem to want to play so...
What is the best seam sealer product to use on the roof seams of my 1991 mk3 Passat estate? It needs to be a fairly mess-free product so I can keep it within the area that the black plastic strips cover up.
I know Sika stuff is good but specifically which product?
Also heard Tiger Seal is good.
Any help greatly appreciated. Flippers aren't easy to drive in.

tiger seal should do it that can pretty much stick anything to anything ;D I can vouch for this - out of curiosity I stuck a scrap mini door to the rear quarter of the scrap mini about 7 or 8 years ago. Only used 5 20p sized dabs of the stuff. Once it had dried, it took 4 of us to pull the door off the side of the car - and in the end it was the 1/4" of filler covering the entire quarter panel that gave way. A few months ago, I didn't right fancy drilling half a dozen holes in the steel lintel above what used to be the garage door to bolt a big set of uPVC patio doors in, so I just tigersealed along the top. Most solidly fitted doors ever!

We use Sika 221 - ideal for all those bodges and very difficult to get off once cured. Use gloves

Thanks guys.
So Tiger Seal and Sika 221 are definitely ok to use as a sealer rather than an adhesive for sticking things together?
