OK... I know we've done this before somewhere but the search keeps timing out on me so I'm hoping you'll be kind enough to help a retroist in need. The Marina I have is getting new running gear all round so will be Ford 4-stud. I'd like some steels for it. Ideally I want G60 steels or Triumph TR6 steels but obviously wrong PCD but you get my drift... What are my options and is there any way I can get any dish without banding? I'd like 15" steels but Mondeo ones etc all seem to be really flat fronted. Any advice appreciated... Rob For info: TR6 Steels >> G60 Steels >>

Hard to see in this pic but the 15" steels you get in the Ford Puma as spare wheels have more offset than most of the modern ford steelies, still not got much dish on them but at least they sit further out in the arch usual, they were cheap as well, although finding 4 can take a while.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

I think that Peugeot/ Citroen steelies have a lower offset. They have even a lightweight 15" alloy one that looks like steel.
That taunus/ cortina doesn't look to bad either on Puma wheels.

Thanks guys...
I've been trawling the bay of E and I can't see any steels that fit the bill. I'd have thought that some 15" steels had a bit of lip but no joy.
I think Pug and Citroen have the same PCD - I might go for Pug speedlines at this rate...
Still looking! Thanks for your help guys...

ford fitment wellers? perhaps you could fine some of the ones with the round holes rather than the 8 spoke ones? Not a lot of ford 4 stud steels out there with much dish. scorpio 15 inch steels are reasonably wide for standard wheels, and 4 stud but not much of a lip.

ford,peugeot/citreon,saab,audi 80/90/100 are all 4x108, seen some reverse rimed mondeo steels that looked good.

wellers are your only real option if you want dish, that or some bandeds, but the wellers are not that expensive even new.

Yeah - they look so agricultural though don't they?
I'm going to be putting a fair bit of power through them at some point so maybe reverse-rim / banded will give me sleepless nights...
I think I'm going to have to put my hand in my pocket and get me some big ass Superlights in dish-o-spec size...
Cheers all...

If you found some you liked the look of you could maybe have them reversed - have the centre cut out and welded back in the other way around. Will give you a very low offset with lots of dish. No idea about how strong or suitable for road use they are, I'm sure some other people will be along to advise either way.

Someone else mentioned this the other day... maybe there's something in the whinge bin on the banded steels thread... This would be ideal as I can find steels deep enough just the wrong offset... I think this might be the way to go... Cheers! Rob

I think that Peugeot/ Citroen steelies have a lower offset. They have even a lightweight 15" alloy one that looks like steel. That's em. ET19, 15x6 and and 4.6kg each. I paid £20 a piece, brand new from citroen, but they have gone up since.
