Powered by some hoofing great russian V8 with in-cab adjustable ignition timing to allow for changes in the quality of the fuel avalible at any given time, on-board air supply to, amongst other things, adjust the tyre pressures.......whilst on the move! and the rear body is supposedly capable of being sealed to withstand gas attacks I LOVE IT!

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Alan, nearly all (if not all) the Russian trucks run multi-fuel. Partly due to the irratic/unreliable supplies out in the USSR during the cold war. Most of the trucks will run on anything remotely resembling a combustible liquid. ;D

Vi, I get the feeling those are at pripyat? Tbh, I don't care who made 'em, huge matt green trucks just rock. I'd even put up with a beddy MK despite having driven one (for her majesty...) and knowing how truly awful they are! (Mind you , there are several scammels, the GAZ, and a whole bunch of detroit built GI fodder I'd not say no to). There was a czech mobile command vehicle on ebay recently, full NBC, self contained, filtered aircon, the works. I really honestly almost bought it.. I mean, I could fule it almost for nothing... do you know how often some muppet puts petrol in their diesel and has to pay to have it all drained back out? lolz...

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Vi, I get the feeling those are at pripyat? yep, ones used on the Chernobyl clean-up. was told the 131 fire trucks first on the scene had to be buried something like 20 metres deep, they were soo radioactive xXx

incased in concrete and dropped into a lake (at least thats the story i read in fortean times)
ICI wilton did a similar trick - 3 jcb's and a Leyland cement truck buried on site - and one day (probably when building houses) someone will dig them up, and wonder why their begin to resemble Darius Jedburgh
