Seeing as my Mini has not sold yet I'm forced to offer this for sale aswell. I need space asap!
Heres the deal
Engine: 1600cc Sunbeam TI motor, big valve/ported head, Kent fast road cam, duplex timing chain, bronze guides, 10:1 compression, megajolt ECU ignition, 34mm CVK Bike carbs, custom airbox and K&N Filter, Ashley exhaust system and manifold, facet pump and filter king, light flywheel, balanced etc.
Thats well over £1000 worth of parts alone! This is attulay the second engine ive built for it as the first one had a rod bolt let go and it unfortunatly had to be rebuilt again with a new bottom end. Its litraly only done running in miles, ive only just fitted the bike carbs and athough they work ok when the engine is hot, cold starting is not that great at the moment. Be prepared for a little tinkering to fix that! Otherwise you couldnt ask for a better 'road spec' avenger/sunbeam lump! drive it away
Bodywork: No major holes or rust issues to note, main problem is just some scabby bits showing through around the arches and bonnet. Had advisary on the sills last MOT but they don't look too bad to me, cirtanly would go through again with a coat of underseal Its got a few dents and the paintworks a bit crazed on the roof but I'm no tart so polish would make it look alot nicer than it does now. Expect a usable car not a show car and you wont be dissepointed!
Machanicals: No problems, tall rear axle ratio makes the 4 speed box seem spot on, even on the motorway. Had a few inches chopped out of the coils and had a new rack when the old one connected with some raised ironwork, new clutch when I bought it too! Used to run 13x6 allycats with 175/50s which was awsome untill I cracked on playing in the snow! It may not have a huge spec ist on the suspension and stuff but thats becasue they were curse word hot from new compared to an escort or marina or whatever, you just don't need better!
Interior: Mint.. well almost, slight dash crack and small hole in the back of the driver seat is about all I can fault it on. Maybe could do with a clean!
Comes with a few spares, another set of bike carbs, orginal carb/dizzy etc, light lenses and that sort of thing too. I also have a LSD axle and some other suspension/engine bits avalible by negotiation.
Tax and MOT untill the end of September
£950ono
don't make me start breaking it up for bits!!
