Can this pump be sorted or am I better putting a new one one. Fuel pump relay? Should I be starting with that first? Basically would you guys start. Its a 94 e200 merc coupe. Thanks

might be worth asking on a merc forum as they are more likely to know a defo answer

does it prime when you turn on the ignition? you should hear it run for a little while as it builds up to pressure.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Quick thing to check is whetehr the plugs have fuel on them or not. If so, then it's probably an ignition problem, if not then it's probably fuelling.
Might be worth a shot of easy start to see if it's fuelling, too.

the 200 engine can be a complete curse word to get going again, i had a 190e that i'd left for 2 years. fuel pump was fine, fuel was defo stale, so drained it and then refuelled. something in the injection does gum up. in end put some brake fluid through it, eventually it cleared enough to get running, only had to drive it 2 miles home because too low for my trailer and it stuttered and backfired all the way.
got it back parked it up, and suprise suprise it wouldn't start. doing the same as before worked out fine. it now starts and runs, but always lumpy and never the same again.n hence why i've been gradually breaking it for spares.
i think only solution is to clean out all the injection kit, maybe couple of bottles of redex injector cleaner as well once your done.
