	There's an Austin A40 Countryman for sale on South Australian eBay, in need of restoration. cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330438138840&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT It looks like much too much project for me at this stage, but I was wondering about the car in general. How rare are they? It seems to have a factory-fitted folding rear seat made of wood, and wooden inner wheelarches. It looks like it would make a really fun hot-rod, but it's post-'48 so registration as a street rod is out of the question. Do they have a full chassis?

	Yep that a countryman.The rear side windows are recessed in as i have seen were someone was selling a van with windows cut out and said its a countryman.The early countrymans had cloth roof panel.1200ccengine, can be colume changer or floor.Mgb bits or Austin a40 sports brakes fit bigger drums.I have had a early countryman before cloth roof panel and a later one as you said which i got imported from your country,fitted a mgb engine axle but then sold it.Yes quite rare over here but the A40 woody even rarer.

	Yep on a chassis.Same as Austin somerset
