thursday night i ended up at mi dads work on the ramps sortin the oil leaks out. it was coming from the sump gasket a tiny bit, also the dipstick as it had no O ring gromet at the top to stop it comin out and also the oil breather as the breather filter was too far down at the back of the engine. all sorted now hopefully. also, red glass painted bottoms of mi rear lights, need another coat as yet but should look better than the full clears.

That is one very tidy golf. Small bumpers and single lights FTW

Nice wheels! The body looks quite solid too.
Treasure it.

Does the linseed oil work then?
The seven slat grill looks much better, I'd lose the wheels & the rear lights for something a bit more OEM+ & introduce your sump to the tarmac.

its as low as i can deal with tbh, i go and see my mum often and my grandma often and they both live on a road with huge speed bumps, and its a mile long so cba to walk down it lol. the wheels are better than they were before as the chrome in the middle has been painted. rear lights- trying to get some 16v ones. linseed oil- yes it works, i use a paintbrush to put it on and then wipe of the excess with a microfibre. be careful tho because if you leave the brush and cloth in the garage/boot etc covered in the oil it can combust. when iv used mine and finished with em i throw the brush in a coffee jar thats full of water and i soak the microfibre in warm water until it can go in the washing machine. it is good stuff if you do it right, and cheap too, take your time with it as its an to get off of the paint. cheers for comments
