I got a few panels to put on my 106 last weekend - had them propped up at the side of the house for a couple of days. This morning my mum said she'd just seen some rougharses in a transit looking up the drive, so I went straight out to move the stuff and it was already gone! A look on the crappy security camera shows them going up nextdoors drive and hopping across to get the stuff, all while my mum was watching the bloke in the van. Anyway, keep an eye out for a white smiley front transit, with a dark green high-side pickup and a couple of amber lights on the roof. If you see them, shoot them in the face with a crossbow without question. Best picture I have of the travellers: Another pic of the van on the way back up: I know it's not the crime of the century, and I know my front wings will have been weighed in for almost 35 pence already but if you're local and you see that van around, be wary.

Thats still theft, burn them alive. They broke my green house trying to take stuff off my garden to, appently some easten europeans in a White mk3 transit with a a blue bed and Alpha stickers on it. My neighbour court them twice, explained he is a magistrate and that they are trespassing. Havent been back since. There's also a white & blue mk4 transit around here doing the same, boils my urine...

No mention of the police? It sounds like you've got all the evidence you need. It's doubtful you'll get your wings back, but it might save someone else's stuff.

I've called them a few times in similar situations with reg numbers as well as pictures and they didn't ring back, let along come out to take a look. That's not a rant, as I'm sure they genuinely have bigger fish to fry than this

yup, happening all over the country... I had a section of exhaust for my 106 which I hid on my driveway whilst I answered the phone... 3 mins later after putting the phone down I went back out to find it gone! - all the while I had the front door open and could have reappeared at any time, the cheek of these guys is ridiculous.

Nice one for getting pics and warning others. There was a few occurunces in my area last winter, Gav's sapporro alloys went, and I lost a set of 16's and an old exhaust which were round the back of my garage. Luckily i wanted them gone and it saved me a trip to the skip, but Gav wasn't happy, theiving twocers

I had a skip on my drive not so long ago. Apart from some random rubbish, there was all the aluminium window frames from the house as I as replacing them all. Now, I wouldn't have minded at all if the 'recyclers' had knocked and asked, but no, they just took the lot. It's the attitude that bothers me.

Why is stuff in skips more fair game than stuff in wheelie bins? I think the rule of thumb is "common courtesy" just to take 5 or 10mins to ask around, find the hirer of the skip and to ask whether it would be ok to have a rummage through it. We have very set ideas as to what is OUR property and what isnt. Personally, id be less than happy for somebody to be pulling wibblepoo out of a skip i had hired without having the decency to ask. I wouldnt let someone walk into my garden, pull my missus to the floor and shag her, so why should i be happy to let somebody just pull apart a skip thats costing me money? Tell you what, Id break their f*****g legs if they did that to me. The missus....well id be upset but take summat outta my skip and they are 'kin dead.

I remember reading somewhere that if a skip is on the road anything inside it is classed as "abandoned" i.e you can just take it, if its on a driveway you need to ask.
