The car is the Monaco model and boasts central locking, full leather interior, alloy wheels, a full lenth sunroof , and a zippy 1.7 twin carb engine, the car is very nippy and also b=very good on fuel.Only selling as my brother needs a small van or estate car and will have no need for the Renault anymore.

First of all, have a bump. But take a look at what you can get for £2000 these days, on this very forum. Hell, for a a couple of hundred quid more I could get a Celica GT4 WRC! It looks in good nick, but I got a lower mileage, newer, one old lady owner, FSH car for £500 a couple of years ago. Sold it for £300 with an MOT last year, still under 60000 miles.

Monacos are rare, but yeah, the pricing seems a bit out of whack. OTOH, if you want a Monaco, how many are left to choose from?

i had priced the vehicle going on other monacos i have seen for sale over the past few months (not seen many), one sole on ebay for £1900 and another was on a renault forum for £2500 , i am open to offers (sensible) though as my brother needs to sell it to buy a van. This car turns more heads than a celica gt4 aswell ;-)

I recently bought an identical car for £620 with 66k on it and lots of work done which was advertised on here 4 months ago initially for £1000, i believe it went for £835 or thereabouts, your price seems v high and although its a rare car i don't think anyone would part with anything over a grand for one of these.I do love mine but if i thought i could get anything like what your asking i would advertise it pronto!

^^^^ Sadly, madmarty is spot on. Renaults just don't fetch good money, even when low mileage and quite rare. I wish you luck with the sale, but you'll need a reserve much lower than the current asking to get a sale I reckon. I will be happy if you prove me wrong though! It's a great car.
