Last Saturday night my dad has his Plant trailer stolen. It's a Trailtec-which isn't common in the UK at all as he imported it from Ireland, typical 10ft, heavy duty designed for carrying dumpers/mini diggers etc. Vertical ramps, twin axel. Doubt it'll reappear, but just to make people aware of whats happening.
It was secured, but a locked gate was forced & a fence ripped out of the ground to get at it!

all our work trailers have the post code drilled into the chassis. something worth concidering. wont stop the trailer getting nicked but easy to identify.

try your local traveller site/encampment but be prepared for the Police to do nothing if it is in there! From previous experience!

If you have any of the serial numbers or details, give TER The Equipment Register a call and let them, know... also if you have these report it to the Police and ensure they know to stick it on the Plant/Trailer File on PNC... as if its recovered and a search is done they may not find it!

The Police know about it & to say they were useless would be very generous! Got a crime number & 'sorry we don't usually come out to things like that, is there any evidence?' ....
Haven't heard of the TER, will have a look-have got all the details, serial No etc. Thanks for that. Luckily it seems to be insured, but it's just the fact somones been in the yard at all.

www.ter-europe.org/ try not to tarr us all with the same brush... TER are a great organisation, you can register upto 5 items of plant/trailers etc free of charge! And no i don't get paid by them... but use them a great deal and successfully in my line of work!

I don't tar anyone with any brush, they've just not been very good! But that's not something for a public internet forum. The TER register looks very interesting, thanks for that I'll get the details sorted.
