Last night I took the rear 5mm wheel spacers off because 1 off them was making the wheel wobble. I then found were my tyres had been rubbing. It was the heads of the top screws that hold the rubber arch trims on  dunno why I didn't spot them before but they are sorted now and I have zero rubbing I also fitted the carpet back into the car. I couldn't find a black one so this will do for now

Just out of interest (and I know this has maybe been covered already), I'm looking at a set of coilovers for my K10. I am going to use K11 fronts and I need to find a rear set that will just drop straight on with no mods, The only reason for this is that the company I am going to buy from will match me a pair of K11 fronts with any set of rears that will fit and it saves a load of hastle modifying the structure of the car I like the machi project it's a source of much inspiration and looks like you've had much fun getting it to where it is now

On MSC, there was a guy with a Superturbo and a custom made coilover kit. That should be even easier.

They have the same top mount and they apparently have the same bottom mounting. Also they go really low Polo also go on without too much modification

Nice update!
Thing sounds bloody awesome.
Power output and delivery is pretty nice too!
I recon that with some sportier cams it will do 105-110hp (flywheel) @7000rpm.
With some cams on it

Where did you get your number plate from? Its the perfect size I'm after! Its just off of ebay. Search for euro plate and look for the smaller size. There are 2 different size euro plates. Small and slightly bigger. The ones I got we're 6x13 iirc

With some cams on it Thanks matey I do love they sound that it makes I have some cams coming from a member of the msc forums. They are standard cams that have been reground by kent cams. Also got some high compression pistons coming and iam building a better inlet manifold. So it'll be interesting to see what power I can achieve

Since Monday night. My car has had an extremely terrible missfire No idea what is causing it. Iam now making another inlet manifold from steel. I was building an aluminium one but iam struggling to find someone who can weld ally for me. Steel one should only a couple days to make

Still running on standard spark plugs? It might benefit from 1-2 degrees colder plugs.

Its on standard spark plugs mate. Iam currently collecting all the parts I need to put this car onto injection. Gonna fit a larger flywheel and clutch so that I can run the bigger gearbox. Then sometime down the road ill fit a td04l turbo and nistune, maybe Atm iam failing at getting this car through mot. Just cannot get one headlight to work among other things!

Carbs are for sale. So is dizzy setup. The four branch and exhaust system will be forsale as soon as I can afford nistune to be fitted. It'll be going turbo as soon as I can afford nistune Please make some comments on whether you think its a better plan or not!!

Hmm, hard one that, screamin NA or turbo? Either way its going to be good Turbo makes sense as ultimately more power available (and prob a bit cheaper in the long run), but I do like the noise of a NA screamer

Cheers chaps
Here's a vid showing the missfire problem
The last clip you can hear as I go round the corner, I start to ffed in the throttle and it misses until I give it full throttle!!
Atm it does 26mpg and apparently I would only lose about 5hp if I switched back to injection but would 40mpg.
I want a screamer pipe on the micra lol

haha screamer pipe! surely either proper throttle boddies orbike carbs would give a better power output than just 5 hp or is it the torque they give?

Sounds good to me I recon it would be worth chucking the injection on for the mo then. Bike TB's would be good though Are you running a vac advance? Try blanking it off, my old fiesta developed a part throttle miss that was a todged vac advanced unit
